  Streckenstromschliesser. 



   Die durch das Patent Nr. 22685 geschützte Einrichtung eines Streckenstromschliessers für eine Reihe von Stromschliessungen leidet an dem Übelstande, dass der Kontaktstift, sowie der mit ihm in Berührung kommende Teil das Quecksilbers unsichtbar und schwer zugänglich ist. 



   Die vorliegende Verbesserung bezweckt die Beseitigung dieses Nachteiles und besteht darin, dass die Kontaktgebung durch die Oberfläche des Quecksilbers in dem Tropfgefäss erfolgt. Der Erfindungsgegenstand ist in der Fig. 1 im Zusammenhange mit den bekannten übrigen Teilen eines Streckenstromschliessers und in den Fig. 2 und 3 allein in vergrössertem Massstabe dargestellt. 



   Das durch einen Druck auf die Membrane 4 durch den Kanal 5   hochgepresste   Quecksilber steigt durch das Steigrohr 9 in den Kelch   6,   aus dem es durch die horizontale Düse 3 in bekannter Weise tangential in das Tropfgefäss 1 fliesst. Durch das aus dem Stammpatent bekannte tropfenweise Abfallen des Quecksilbers aus dem Tropfgefäss, sowie durch das ununterbrochene Nachströmen frischen Quecksilbers aus dem Kelch erleidet die Quecksilberoberfläche innerhalb des   Tropfgefässes 1 bodeutende   Veränderungen, die   erfindungsgemäss   zur Kontaktgebung benutzt werden. Fig. 2 stellt die   Quecksilberoberfiäche   in der Zwischenzeit zwischen zwei Tropfen in demjenigen Zustande dar, in dem der Kontaktstift 2 in das Quecksilber eintaucht.

   Dieser Kontakt wird in gewissen Zwischenräumen durch die sich bildenden Tropfen unterbrochen, wie Fig. 3 zeigt. 



   Der Vorteil der beschriebenen Verbesserung besteht ausser in der Sichtbarkeit der Kontaktstelle auch in der leichten Zugänglichkeit und Einstellbarkeit des Kontaktstiftes.

   The present improvement aims to eliminate this disadvantage and consists in the contact being made through the surface of the mercury in the drip vessel. The subject matter of the invention is shown in FIG. 1 in connection with the known other parts of a circuit breaker and in FIGS. 2 and 3 alone on an enlarged scale.



   The mercury, which is pressed up through the channel 5 by pressure on the membrane 4, rises through the riser 9 into the cup 6, from which it flows tangentially through the horizontal nozzle 3 into the drip vessel 1 in a known manner. Due to the drop by drop of mercury from the drip vessel, known from the parent patent, as well as the uninterrupted flow of fresh mercury from the cup, the mercury surface within the drip vessel 1 undergoes significant changes that are used according to the invention for contacting. FIG. 2 shows the mercury surface between two drops in the state in which the contact pin 2 is immersed in the mercury.

   This contact is interrupted in certain interstices by the droplets forming, as FIG. 3 shows.



   The advantage of the improvement described consists, in addition to the visibility of the contact point, also in the easy accessibility and adjustability of the contact pin.
