  Elektrischer Schmelzofen. 



   Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen elektrischen Tiegelschmelzofen und betrifft Ausgestaltungen der Kontakte des Schmelztiegels. 



   Die Zeichnung veranschaulicht eine Ausführungsform des Erfindungsgegenstandes in Fig. 1 und 2 im Schema bezw. in Perspektive. Der Schmelzofen besitzt in bekannter Weise einen   Schmelztiege)   g, der durch Kontakte mit der Sekundärwicklung eines Transformators t verbunden ist, dessen Primärwicklung unter Zwischenschaltung eines Umschalters s an eine elektrische Stromquelle q angeschlossen ist. Die Kontakte sind   gemäiJ   der Erfindung als den Tiegel zwischen sich fassende, feststellbare Greifer ausgebildet, wodurch ermöglicht wird, die üblichen Schmelztiegel ohne Adaptierung oder Umwandlung ihrer Gestalt verwenden zu können. 



   Besonders vorteilhaft ist die Ausführungsform, wenn der eine Greifer als Teller zum Tragen des Tiegels und der andere Greifer als Deckel von zweckmässig haubenförmige Gestalt ausgebildet ist. Zur Feststellung der Greifer ist der eine, z. B. der obere Greifer mittels einer durch ein Handrad h verstellbaren Druckschraube oder dgl. einstellbar. 



   Um die Besichtigung des   Schmelzgutes   während des Schmelzens ohne Belästigung des Arbeiters durch die unmittelbare Hitzeausstrahlung zu ermöglichen, ist der obere Greifer mit entsprechenden Aussparungen versehen. 



   Beide Greifer bezw. deren Arme sind mit Höhlungen versehen, die an eine Rohrleitung   w   zur   Durchführung   eines Kühlmittels, wie Wasser, angeschlossen sind, wodurch der Transformator gegen Erhitzung von Seiten des Schmelztiegels geschützt wird. 



   PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE : 
1. Elektrischer Schmelzofen mit durch Kontakte an die Sekundärwicklung eines Transformators angeschlossenem   Schmelztiegel,   dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Kontakte als den Tiegel   ( zwischen sich fassende, feststellbare Greifer (k)   ausgebildet sind, wodurch ermöglicht wird,   die üblichen Schmelztiegel ohneweiters in   dem Ofen verwenden zu können.
