bekannter Weise in Streifen geschnitten.

Divisible felt strips for insulation purposes and processes for their manufacture.
The invention relates to a divisible felt strip for insulation purposes, e.g. B. for sheathing of gas, steam and water pipes and a method for its production and consists in that the felt strip is made twice as thick as the strip required for use, with two directly superimposed tissues from one in the middle of the hair material Plant fiber materials (e.g. cotton fabric) can be inserted so that the double strip can be divided into its two parts for use. The purpose of the invention is to be able to produce both individual strips at the same time, in one operation, and thus to save working time.
The drawing illustrates such a felt strip in a diagrammatic representation.
It consists of two layers of hair a and b, the two lying directly on top of each other
EMI1.1
two layers of hair separated in such a way that a layer of tissue remains on each.
To produce the felt strip, first half of the entire hair mixture intended for the felt strip of twice the thickness is applied to the damp felt cloth, then the double fabric insert c, d and over it the second half of the uaar mixture. Then the whole subject obtained in this way is included
EMI1.2
cut into strips as is known.
Each strip obtained in this way consists of two strips intended for use, which hold together with sufficient strength to be stored together, while for use the two strips can be easily separated in the manner shown in the drawing, since the vegetable fiber tissues can be separated do not tangle with each other and the crosslinking of the hair of the mixture through the fabric is so weak
EMI1.3
there, but the division does not oppose too great a resistance to use.
