Formsand.
EMI1.1

Molding sand.
EMI1.1
Cutting drum is mounted and both parts moving unequally fast receive a common drive, for example, the carriage can be set in drive without the cutting device is put into action and vice versa.
The invention consists essentially in the fact that provisions are made to be able to change the relative speeds at which the cutting drum and the carriage move in order to influence the mixing of the molding sand for the purpose of producing different types of sand. For this purpose, according to the invention, the drive motor is in drive engagement both with the drive wheels of the carriage frame and with the

The cutting blades 20 of each set or rotating member are arranged in relation to each other in parallel and v "" spiral or diagonally in their longitudinal direction.
As a result of this configuration or arrangement, the blades throw the sand across the machine, with the radial arrangement of the blades easily penetrating the sand so that the flat sides of the blades act as blades to lift and throw the sand up.

Gear 31 is located.
The spark inductors, batteries, lubricators, gas containers and the like of the machine can be of the usual design and arrangement, which is why they have not been shown in the drawing in order not to impair the clarity of the same.
A multi-disk clutch 33 of the usual design is arranged loosely on the shaft 32.
On the housing of this coupling sits a sprocket 34 which is connected by a chain 35 to the sprocket 26 of the drum.
A collar 36 is firmly seated on the shaft 32 and forms the fixed part of the coupling and can perform a longitudinal sliding movement on a wedge seated on the shaft 32 in order to come into engagement with the pawls 37 which are seated on the loose part of the coupling and effect the connection of the same to the shaft 32.
The displacement of the collar 36 on the shaft 32 is carried out by a lever (not shown) or the like. Which, like a fork, engages in a groove 38 of the coupling sleeve 36 in the usual manner.
Before the machine is started, the cutting drum is brought to its highest position above the ground.
When the coupling sleeve 33 is coupled to the shaft 32 and the cutting drum is set in rotation, the latter is lowered. so that it gradually penetrates the sand.
EMI3.3
On the loose part 40 of the coupling a gear 43 is firmly seated, which is loose in relation to the shaft 32. With the mediation of this clutch, the reversing movement of the machine can be brought about, as will be explained in more detail below.

is in engagement with the gear 55 seated on the shaft 52. This gear forms the transmission gear for high speed.
At the other end of the differential housing 63, a larger gear 65 is rigidly attached, which is in engagement with a drive wheel 57 seated on the shaft 52 when this has been displaced lengthways on said shaft in such a way that it comes into engagement with the wheel 65 the tension transmission shaft 62 with the counter. 52 to couple. This larger gear forms the transmission gear for low speed.
A sprocket 66 is firmly seated on the shaft 62, FIG. 4, through which the drive force is transmitted to the wheels 4 through the intermediary of the chains 67 and the chain wheels 68 attached to the wheels 4. The differential gear is firmly connected to the traction transmission shaft 62.
As a result of the device described above, the difference in the speed of the drive wheels resulting when passing an angle or a curve is taken into account accordingly.
The traction transmission shaft 62 also extends beyond the framework of the machine to enable a crank to be attached to it by which the carriage can be manually driven if this should appear necessary. Upon actuation of the carriage to cause it to move forward, assuming the machine is in operation and the drive shaft 32 is in rotation, the clutch 40 is disengaged from the shaft.
The shaft 44 is set in rotary motion by engaging the clutch 4, in that the same causes the shaft to rotate under the action of the chain wheel w, which test supports on the chain and is connected to the chain wheel 48 through the chain 49.
The rotational movement of the shaft 44 is transmitted to the shaft 52 through the gear 53 and the drive wheel 54. If it becomes necessary to drive the carriage while the gear wheel is activated for the transmission of high speed, the collar 58 on the countershaft is moved until the pins 60 enter the holes in the gear wheel 55. The coupling of the tension transmission shaft 62 with the counter shaft 52 takes place by means of the toothed

The clutch plug 45 has been previously engaged with the counter shaft. By means of the counter shaft 44, the rotational movement of the counter shaft 52 is brought about in the manner described above to bring about the forward movement with transmission of the gears. 54 and 53. Further, the rotational movement is transmitted to the traction transmission shaft either through the high or low speed gear as in the induction of the forward drive. The machine can therefore be given two different speeds in the forward direction and two in the reverse direction.

It can thus be seen that the entire front part of the machine receives its support at the angle levers 71 and 74, so that due to the few points of contact between the angle levers and the steering axles, the friction is limited to a minimum. A compensating device is also provided which prevents tensile stresses from being applied to the framework. This compensation when passing a wheel over an obstacle without relation to the other wheel takes place as follows.

remains.
The device for changing the angular position of the steering wheels, which can be seen in FIGS. 3, 7, 8, 9, 12 and 13, is as follows: In a bearing support which is attached to the cross member 6 of the Masohinenra1unens there is a control spindle 80 stored, which is provided at its lower end with an arm firmly connected to the same.
A segment M is loosely attached to the steering axles 70 and 76 and is prevented from sliding in the upward and downward direction on said steering axle by a collar 84 and an arm 85 wedged onto the steering axle. The segments 83 are provided with a number of recesses 86 and are rotatably connected to the control spindle by joints 87.
A clamping lever 88, which is provided with a short arm 881, is rotatably connected to the end of the fixed arm 85. The latter engages with one of the recesses provided in segment 83 in order to attach the segment to the Lenkac. hse and the control spindle. When the locking lever 88 is rotated into a horizontal position, the segment 83 is triggered by the same, 80 so that the steering axis can be set in rotary motion independently of the control spindle.
A block 89, which is rotatably connected to a control lever 90, is clamped to the upper end of the control spindle 80. Below the block 89, a disk 91 is connected to the bearing support 81 and is provided with a number of holes 92.
On the control lever 90 sits a downwardly extending pin 93 which engages with one of the holes 92 when the lever is depressed, so that the segments 83 and therefore the control wheels can be locked in any corresponding position, in the case of the drive direction of the Car should remain the same for a certain distance.

One set of the recesses corresponds to the position of the control wheels shown in FIG. 15, while the other set corresponds to the position shown in FIG.
By means of one of the punches provided in the disk 91, d wheels are fixed in the position shown in FIG. 15 and by the other in the position shown in FIG. 16. By

EMI5.4
In the drive direction of the car, the control levers 90 are to be brought out of engagement with the disc 91 respectively. set in parallel position with relation to each other.
In FIGS. 15 and 16, 100 denotes the point about which the carriage executes its rotary movement in the illustrated position of the steering wheels.
The cutting drum, which is carried by the rods 7 mounted on the frame, is raised from the ground by means of the rope and the winch drum as described.
The purpose of this lifting of the drum is to allow the cart to get over the pile of sand when it has to pass it in order to get back to the starting point.
The drum is then lowered again into the sand, so that it penetrates into the sand as it rotates.
Instead of using multi-disk clutches to couple the various shafts, couplings of other conventional types could of course also be used without deviating from the essence of the invention.
The invention is also not intended to apply to the particular devices mentioned
