  Verfahren zur Herstellung halogenierter roter Küpenfarbsteffe. 



   In der Patentschrift Nr. 46865 ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung roter Küpenfarbstoffe beschrieben, darin bestehend, dass man   6-6cDioxyäther   des Thioindigos, oder deren   Loukoverbiudungen   mit   Halogen   oder Halogen abgebenden Substanzen, und zwar

   flüssiger Form   oder Brom gelöst in   einem Losungsmittel   wie Nitrobenzol, Tetrachlorkohlenstoff zur Anwendung. 



   In weiterer Ausarbeitung des Verfahrens wurde ermittelt, dass man die Halogenierung auch in Schwefelsäure höherer Konzentration (konz. Schwefelsäure. Monohydrat etc.) bewirken kann. 



   Beispiel I : 10 Teile 6-61-Diaethoxythioindigo werden in 100 Teilen konz. Schwefelsäure   verrührt. Man lässt unter Abkühlung 9   Teile Brom zulaufen. Nach erfolgter Bromierung giesst man auf Eis und   Bisultit, säugt ah,   wäscht und trocknet. Der Farbstoff färbt in wesentlich röterer Nuance als das Ausgangsprodukt.   Das Produkt besitzt im   wesentlichen die Zusammensetzung eines Dibrom-6-61-Diäthoxythioindigos. 



   Beispiel II : 10 Teile 6-6--Diaethoxythioindigo werden in 100 Teilen konz. Schwefelsäure verrührt. Man leitet unter Kühlung Chlor ein, bis im wesentlichen ein Monochlor-   Diäthoxythioindigo entstanden   ist. Bei der   Chlorierung kann   man   zweckmässig Über-     trager, wie   z. B. Antimonpentachlorid zusetzen.

   In a further elaboration of the process it was found that the halogenation can also be effected in sulfuric acid of higher concentration (conc. Sulfuric acid, monohydrate etc.).



   Example I: 10 parts of 6-61-diaethoxythioindigo are concentrated in 100 parts. Sulfuric acid stirred. 9 parts of bromine are run in while cooling. After the bromination has taken place, it is poured onto ice and bisultite, sucked, washed and dried. The dye has a much redder shade than the starting product. The product has essentially the composition of a dibromo-6-61 diethoxythioindigo.
