   Behufs Befestigung des Knopfes schiebt man zunächst die Einlage c von oben in den Ring b ein, wobei die entsprechend bemessenen Vorsprünge 9 der Einlage durch die Einschnitte 4 des Ringes hindurchgehen ; darauf steckt man die Klammer a in die Löcher des Knopfes ein, durchsticht den Stoff und steckt deren Enden in die Einschnitte 4 des Ringes, denen die   Einschnitte 7 dnr   Einlage gegenüberliegen, bis die Einschnitte   8   den Sektoren 8 des Randes der   Hinlage gegenüberstehen   ; hierauf verdreht man die Einlage mit einem Schraubenzieher oder dergl. etwa um 1/8 eines Kreises, wodurch die Sektoren   8   in die Einschnitte 3 der   K1ammerfüsschen   eintreten ;

  Device for fastening buttons.

   The present invention is a device for fastening
Buttons' by means of wire clips that are locked in an armature disk, and differs from the known devices in particular in the design of the armature disk and in the arrangement of a spring between it and the fabric to prevent the button from hanging down.
 EMI1.1
 Axial section through the attached button, while the remaining FIGS. 2-5, respectively, the individual components in elevation. Show section and floor plan.

   The device consists in a known manner of three parts, namely the button, the bracket a and the anchor pad b, c. The bracket a (Fig. 2) consists of one or two forks 1 and 2, which then lie crosswise on top of one another and are firmly connected to one another at the point of contact. They can either be made of steel wire, in which case they are then joined together by soldering, or they are made of one piece of material. Each of the four feet created in this way is pointed at the end and provided with an incision 3 on the inside.

   The armature disk forming the subject of the invention consists of the ring b and the insert c. The clear diameter of the ring b corresponds to the distance x (Fig. 2) of the feet of the clamp from each other; it is provided on the inside with four incisions 4 for the feet of the bracket a. In addition, the ring has circular grooves 5 and 6 on the upper and lower inner edges. The insert c fits into the cavity of the ring b and is provided on the outside with an edge which is divided into four sectors 8 by four incisions 7. At the lower edge the insert has four narrow projections 9 opposite the incisions 7; the underside of the insert is provided with a diametrical groove 10.

   For the purpose of fastening the button, the insert c is first pushed from above into the ring b, the correspondingly dimensioned projections 9 of the insert passing through the incisions 4 of the ring; then you insert the clip a into the holes of the button, pierce the fabric and insert the ends of them into the incisions 4 of the ring, which the incisions 7 of the insert are opposite, until the incisions 8 face the sectors 8 of the edge of the insert; the insert is then rotated with a screwdriver or the like by about 1/8 of a circle, whereby the sectors 8 enter the incisions 3 of the clamp feet;

   the button is fastened in this way, because in this position the projections 9 and 9 prevent each other from falling out of the insert from the ring and at the same time the clip is held in the lower anchor body.

   According to the invention, a spiral spring d can be inserted between the fabric and the insert, which is used in a manner known per se to prevent the button from hanging askew.
