Abstract

Eine Anlage zur Behandlung einer Faserbahn (W) umfasst mindestens ein die Faserbahn (W) stützendes Stützelement (21, 22; 51), welches eine gegen die Faserbahn anzupassende bewegbare Oberfläche umfasst, und im Betrieb sind das Stützelement und die Faserbahn vorgesehen, zwischen sich eine Spaltöffnung (24, 24'; 26) zu bilden, am deren mindestens einen Ende eine Abführvorrichtung (40, 40'; 50) der Strömung (3, 7) angeordnet ist. Beim Verfahren zur Behandlung einer Faserbahn wird die sich bewegende Faserbahn mindestens mit Hilfe eines Stützelements gestützt, welches eine gegen die Faserbahn anzuordnende bewegbare Oberfläche umfasst, und zwischen dem Stützelement und der Faserbahn eine Spaltöffnung gebildet wird, und mindestens von einem Ende der Spaltöffnung Strömung aus mit Hilfe einer Abführvorrichtung abgeführt wird.
