     Da im Sinne der Erfindung das Umbördeln   der Nieten in einer besonderen Vorrichtung erfolgt, ist es   zweckmässig, dafür   zu sorgen, dass die Nieten 14 (Fig. 4) während des Transportes des Gurtes zur   Bördelmaschine   nicht aus den Löchern der Klammern und der Bänder herausfallen können. 



   Zu diesem Zwecke sind in dem Pressbacken 7 (Fig. 1) drei Dorne 23 verschiebbar angeordnet, die mit ihren aus den Pressbacken nach rückwärts herausragenden Teilen in den Hebel 8 eingeschraubt sind. Der letztere kann um den Zapfen 30 verschwenkt werden und überträgt seine Bewegung mittels der Federn 24 und 25 auf den Backen 7 ; die Federn 24 sind zwischen der auf

 Hebels 8 drückt der letztere die Federn 24 und 25 vom Moment des Aufschlagens des Backens 7 an zusammen, schiebt die Dorne aus dem Backen 7 heraus und drückt sie in die oberen offenen Enden der Nieten 14 (Fig. 4). Die Dorne erweitern dabei die Enden der Nieten, so dass diese aus den Löchern der   Klammern   und der Bänder nicht herausfallen können.

   Diese Erweiterung der Nietenden erleichtert nebstbei auch das   Umbördeln,   weil die Erweiterung auch die   Verdünnung   der Wandstärke der Nietenden bewirkt. 



   Die hier lediglich in einer Ausführungsform beschriebene Vorrichtung kann hinsichtlich der Konstruktionseinzelheiten natürlich vielfach abgeändert werden, ohne dass dadurch das

     Since the rivets are crimped in a special device within the meaning of the invention, it is useful to ensure that the rivets 14 (FIG. 4) cannot fall out of the holes in the clips and straps while the strap is being transported to the crimping machine .



   For this purpose, three mandrels 23 are arranged displaceably in the pressing jaws 7 (FIG. 1) and are screwed into the lever 8 with their parts protruding backwards from the pressing jaws.
