Abstract

Es wird ein Applikator (1) zur photodynamischen Therapie, insbesondere in einer Mundhöhle, beschrieben, umfassend einen entlang einer gekrümmten Längsachse ausgebildeten lichtleitenden Köper (2), der monolithisch ausgebildet und durch einen einzigen Wert eines Brechungsindex charakterisiert ist, wobei der lichtleitende Kör- peranseinem ersten Ende (3) eine von einer Lichtquelle speisbare Eintrittsfläche (4) eines ersten Querschnitts aufweist, an die sich ein erster im Wesentlichen gerader Bereich (5) mit einer Stufe als Übergang vom ersten Querschnitt zu einem größeren zweiten Querschnitt anschließt, der in einen gekrümmten Bereich (6) übergeht, an den sich ein zweiter im Wesentlichen gerader Bereich (7) anschließt, der an einem zweiten Ende (8) eine als Lichtaustrittsfläche (9) angeordnete Spitze aufweist, wobei der lichtleitende Körper von einer Hülle (10) umgeben ist, die eine der Eintrittsfläche zugewandte erste Aufnahme zur Befestigung des lichtleitenden Körpers und eine zweite Aufnahme zur Befestigung des lichtleitenden Körpers an einem im gekrümm- ten Bereich innen liegenden Vorsprung aufweist.
