Electricity meter, which shows the consumption beyond a certain amount of energy.
Electricity meters are known which display consumption beyond a certain amount of energy by registering the difference in speed between two or more parts rotating in the same direction, one from the meter and the other from a constant force corresponding to the agreed maximum energy , is driven.
The subject of the invention now forms a further embodiment of the principle set out above, which can be seen from the drawing.
Axis a is driven by a constant force corresponding to the agreed maximum energy, the so-called flat-rate motor, and moves the totalizing counter 11 by means of gears b and c. Furthermore, the movement of the flat-rate motor is transmitted to gear f via gears d and e. The ratchet pawl g is connected to the gear wheel j, which engages in the ratchet wheel h and takes the latter with it in one direction of rotation. The gear h is attached to the shaft l on which the pinion i is also seated, which meshes with the gear k. The counter 1 is incremented by the wheel k. On the shaft l, the ratchet wheel n is also attached, in which the pawl m engages, which is attached to the wheel o.
The wheel o is driven by the consumption meter.
The function of the device results from the following:
As long as the number of revolutions of the shaft a, which is moved at a constant speed corresponding to the agreed maximum energy, is greater than the number of revolutions of the wheel o or the counter connected to it, the counters I and II are incremented by the same amount. Because the movement of the shaft a is via the gears d. e and f are transmitted to wheel h via pawl g and when the same gear ratios are selected, counter 1 is switched on in the same way as counter 77. The slower running counter can lag behind shaft 1 by pulling pawl m on the wheel n grinds.
On the other hand, the
EMI1.1
Wheel o that of wheel a or wheel f and the shaft l is now rotated by the locking mechanism m, n with the correspondingly higher number of revolutions, while the pawl 9 remains behind the locking mechanism h.
The consequence of this is that the counter 1 now registers the greater number of revolutions of the wheel o, while the counter 11 continues to count the number of revolutions of the shaft a. The difference in the information from the two counters 1 and 11 then gives a measure of the consumption exceeding the agreed maximum consumption.
