Device on an auxiliary bicycle saddle for carrying a child.
The present invention relates to a device on an auxiliary bicycle saddle for carrying a child and consists in that a holding frame arranged above the saddle and surrounding it is attached to the bicycle frame by means of rods, on which the child can hold on while driving.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown, for example, namely Fig. 1 shows a bicycle with the device provided in a view, Fig. 2 in a vertical longitudinal section, Fig. 3 in a plan view.
The holding device for the child consists of two inclined supports b and c, which end in the forks bl and Cl at the bottom. At the top, the two supports carry a horizontal frame d, which is intended to protect the child against falling and to stop the child. The saddle e is arranged between the supports and is provided at the rear with a horizontal rod g which ends in a fork h which is supported against the saddle post. A horizontal plate is screwed to the lower end of the forks bl and cl, which is intended to serve the child to put their feet on.
The whole frame is slipped onto the bicycle in such a way that the two forks bl and cl encompass the horizontal and the front oblique rod of the main frame, with the saddle e sitting on the horizontal rod of the latter. The fork h surrounds the seat post of the bicycle.
The two prongs of the forks bl, cl are connected by screws below the crooked bar.
The support fork h or support rod can also be attached to the front of the saddle e and to
