Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Beleuchtungssystem (1). Das Beleuchtungssystem (1) umfasst mindestens einen Kanal (3) zur Aufnahme mindestens einer in den Kanal (3) einsetzbaren Leuchteinheit (4), und mindestens einen in den Kanal (3) einsetzbaren Verbinder (5). Der Kanal (3) weist in einem Innenbereich desselben eine Stromschiene (10) zur Versorgung der mit der Stromschiene (10) elektrisch koppelbaren Leuchteinheit (4) auf. Der Verbinder (5) ist dafür ausgebildet, Stromschienenabschnitte (8) der Stromschiene (10) elektrisch miteinander zu koppeln. Ferner ist der Verbinder (5) für eine mechanische Kopplung mit Abschnitten des Kanals (3) eingerichtet. Weiterhin sind der Kanal (3) und der Verbinder (5) derart ausgebildet, dass die Leuchteinheit (4) in einem in den Kanal (3) eingesetzten Zustand mit dem zur Kopplung der Stromschienenabschnitte (8) in den Kanal (3) eingesetzten Verbinder (5) innerhalb des Kanals (3) überlappend anordenbar ist.
