Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kopfbedeckung (1) zur Reduktion von negativen Beschleunigungen, welche bei einem Sturz auf den Kopf einer Person einwirken. Erfindungsgemäß weist die Kopfbedeckung (1) einen Schutzring (2) auf, der im Wesentlichen aus einer textilen, vorzugsweise flachgestrickten Abstandsstruktur (3) aufgebaut ist, bei der zwei Warenbahnen (4, 5) durch Abstandsfäden (6) miteinander verbunden sind. Der Schutzring (2) besteht aus einer vorderen gekrümmten Abstandsstruktur (7), die als Frontalschutz (8) dient, und aus einer hinteren gekrümmte Abstandstruktur (9), die als Occipitalschutz (10) dient.
