Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Switching of adjustable induction motors.
As is known, the number of revolutions of induction motors can be regulated by switching on auxiliary machines, for example collector motors, frequency converters, multi-phase or single-phase current converters, in the rotor circuit. The size of these auxiliary machines is determined by the current corresponding to the normal torque of the induction motor and the rotor voltage given by the limit of the regulation. For the drive of such machines, the torque of which changes with the number of revolutions, for example fans, centrifugal pumps, etc., one can achieve cheaper auxiliary machines by being able to get by with smaller types in such a way that k! a number of revolutions,
So also with low torques and low currents, the rotor winding of the induction motor switches in parallel in groups and thereby lowers the voltage on the slip rings, at higher speeds. that is, high torques and high currents, which cancel the parallel connection and thereby increase the slip ring voltage, which would be very low with a small slip. The above-described circuit has the advantage over the known star-delta switching in the rotor. that you can change the voltage to be selected within wider limits by dividing different groups.
