Schuhtrockner.
Trockenleisten mit einer die Feuchtigkeit des Schuhwerks aufsaugenden Füllung sind bereits bekannt.
Der Erfindung gemäss wird zu diesem Zwecke ein Gemisch von wasserfreiem Chlorkalzium (Ca Cl2) mit Kieselguhr oder Bimssteinpulver, in Brikett-oder sonstiger Form angewendet. Chlorkalzium (Co C/g) besitzt die Eigenschaft, Feuchtigkeit aus der Luft in sich aufzunehmen ; diese Feuchtigkeit wird als Kristallwasser am Chlorkalzium gebunden. Der Zusatz von Kieselguhr oder Bimssteinpulver dient zur gleichmässigen Verteilung der aufgenommenen Feuchtigkeit durch den ganzen Schuhtrockner. Die Anwendung geschieht folgendermassen :
Der Schuhtrockner wird in das durchnässte Schuhwerk gelegt und dieses sodann in einen verschliessbaren Pergamentsack gestellt. Hierauf wird der Sack durch Falzen geschlossen.
So sich selbst überlassen, ist das durchfeuchtete Schuhwerk nach wenigen Stunden trocken und wieder bequem gebrauchsfähig. Der Schuhtrockner wird nach dem Gebrauch bis zur nächsten Verwendung in die dazugehörige Blechdose verschlossen ; damit derselbe nicht durch fortgesetzte Aufnahme von Wasser aus der Luft vor der Zeit unbrauchbar wird.

Calcium chloride (Co C / g) has the property of absorbing moisture from the air; this moisture is bound to the calcium chloride as crystal water. The addition of kieselguhr or pumice stone powder serves to distribute the absorbed moisture evenly through the entire shoe dryer. It is used as follows:
The shoe dryer is placed in the soaked footwear and this is then placed in a closable parchment sack. The sack is then closed by folding.
Left to their own devices, the soaked footwear is dry after a few hours and can be comfortably used again. After use, the shoe dryer is sealed in the corresponding tin box until it is used again; so that it does not become unusable prematurely through continued absorption of water from the air.
