  Shoe studs.

The sole or stud nails currently in use, which have only one pin, fall out very easily, especially when the sole dries up, and often have to be replaced. For fastening sole coverings, in order to achieve a permanent hold, rivets or nails lying in depressions in the sole covering have become known which have two points or claws sitting on the head or on a plate, which are bent or turned over after being driven through the sole .

The subject of the present invention is a fitting nail which, in order to avoid the disadvantages of single-point nails, is provided with two or more points which have such a design that a permanent hold is achieved without driving through the sole and without riveting. This particular embodiment consists in the fact that the nail tips have the shape of triangles in cross section with vertices pointing outwards.

Fig. 1 of the drawing shows an elevation of a fitting nail according to the present invention, Fig. 2 shows the same seen from below, and Fig. 3 shows a piece of sole with several fitting nails in longitudinal section.

The head J of the fitting nail, which can be designed as a smooth or fluted rivet head or in some other suitable manner, carries two nail tips 2 which, according to the invention, are triangular with outwardly directed edges, as indicated in FIG. 1 and from FIG. 2 can be seen. edges, which support the bending of the tips caused by the inside-out tapering when penetrating into the sole 4, so that the tips are bent apart after driving, as can be seen from FIG. 3, that the nail without riveting the tips that do not even pass through the sole, is held permanently.

The nails are machine-made from one piece and are characterized by the fact that they are driven in exactly the same way as ordinary nails. however, ensure a secure hold without being driven through or riveted around.

Claims (1)

EMI1.2 **WARNUNG** Ende CLMS Feld Kannt Anfang DESC uberlappen**. PATENT CLAIM: Hesehlagnagel for shoes with two or more nail tips, characterized in that the nail tips (2) are designed to be triangular, each with an outwardly directed edge, so that the nailed edges lying on the outside when the edges are driven in from the inside externally bevelled tips, acting as cutting edges, cause the nail tips to break apart automatically and thus provide a firm and permanent hold without the need to drive the tips through the sole or rivets.
