Guide channel for axial turbines with return of the propellant to the same wheel.
The inlet and outlet openings of the so-called bypass channel must lie in one plane in order to secure the connection to the wheel. They also have to be parallel to the blades, i.e. also directed radially. In order to move from the direction of the inflow opening into that of the outflow opening, the surfaces of the guide channel must therefore suffer a twist, which up to now has taken place uniformly over the entire length.
Since the steam tends to flow away perpendicular to the generator, it will not follow the gradual twisting of the channel surfaces, but will tend to move perpendicular to the direction of the inflow opening in the channel, so that it tends towards the outer side of the outflow opening and causing vortex movements here. In order to eliminate this deficiency, the necessary twisting of the guide pins should be relocated from the inlet to the outlet opening in the area of the greatest curvature of the guide channel. In the remaining parts of the guide channel, the lines of production of the guide surfaces will then be wholly or approximately parallel to the mouth edge.
During the inflow, the propellant has the greatest density at the point of greatest deflection, i.e. the greatest curvature of the guide channel. At the same time, however, its tendency to expand appears strongest. It will easily follow any change of direction given by the shape of the canal.

movements are avoided.
The subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the drawing, namely: FIG. 1 an elevation, FIG. 2 a section of a guide channel as previously in use, FIG. 3 an elevation, FIG. 4 a section of a guide channel according to the present invention.
In order to be able to show the shape of the channel more clearly, it is treated as a thin-walled sheet metal channel.
The inflow opening A and the outflow opening B are directed radially in both cases, since they must be parallel to the blades. In the known device, the twisting of the ducts n'hcn of the channel advance from the inlet opening A over the part of the greatest curvature C 'towards the inflow opening. B out, as can be seen in the figure. From the point of greatest curvature, the generating line D of which is approximately parallel to the edge of the inflow opening A, the propellant will flow away in the direction of the arrow, i.e. perpendicular to this generating line, as indicated by arrows.
It will therefore have a tendency to huddle on the outside of the outflow channel B.
If the guide channel - according to the present invention - receives all of the required twisting up to point C of its greatest curvature, then the generating line D is parallel to the edge of the outflow opening B at this point and the propellant is in
