Abstract

Photochemisches Verfahren zur selektiven Erzeugung von Alkohol aus CO2 und einer Wasserstoffquelle, wobei CO2, eine Wasserstoffquelle, O2 und ein Photosensibilisator miteinander in Kontakt gebracht werden, wobei der Photosensibilisator eine organische oder metallorganische Verbindung ist und in der Lage ist, O2 in der Anwesenheit von Licht in eine reaktive Sauerstoffspezies zu versetzen, wobei CO2, die Wasserstoffquelle, O2 und der Photosensibilisator mit Licht versetzt werden, solange bis die Reaktion von CO2 mit der Wasserstoffquelle zum Alkohol abgeschlossen ist.
