Verfahren zur Herstellung von gefärbten azidylierten Zellulosederivaten.
Bekanntlich lassen sich Zelluloseester, wie die Azetylzellulosen, nur sehr schwer an- färben, auch hat das Färben dieser Körper nach den bisher bekannten Methoden den Nachteil, dass die Zelluloseester dabei erheblich an Festigkeit verlieren.
Es wurde nun gefunden, dass man gefärbte azidylierle Zellulosen von grossem technischen Wert in sehr einfacher Weise dadurch erhalten kann, dass man gefärbte Zellulose oder ihr nahestehende Umwandlungsprodukte, wie Baumwolle, Holzzellstoff. Oxyzellulose, llydrozellulose dem Azidylierungsprozess unterwirft.
Als geeignet erweisen sich solche Farbstoffe, die gegen die bei der Azidylierung verwendete.) sauren Reagenzien beständig sind. Von diesen Farbstoffen sind z. B. zu er- wähnen die Algoifarben, die Indanthrenfarben, Schwefelfarbstoffe usw. Für Hot eignet sich

Nach dem Verfahren der deutschen Patentschrift Nr. 184201, Beispiel 3, werden 100 Teile Baumwolle. die z. B. mit 20% Algolrot B gefärbt sind, mit 400 Teilen Essigsäureanhydrid und 1500 Teilen Benzol azetyliert. Das Produkt behält beim Azetylieren, Waschen und Trocknen seine Farbe und löst sich mit schön roter Farbe in CH Cl3.

200 Teile Baumwolle, die mit Indanthrenblau RH gefärbt ist, werden mit 100 Teilen Ameisensäure und 3 bis 10 Teilen SO4H2 von 66 Bé nach dem Verfahren der deutschen Patentschrift Nr. 189836 formyliert. Es entsteht eine dunkelblane Lösung, die in üblicher Weise mit Wasser gefällt und gewaschen werden kann, ohne dass das Formiat seine tiefblaue Farbe verliert. Die Formylzellulose kann in den dafür in Betracht kommenden Lösungsmitteln gelöst und zu blauen Folien, Überzügen usw. verarbeitet werden.
Das Verfahren verläuft in analoger Weise bei Verwendung anderer Azidylzellulose oder anderer geeigneter Farbstoffe.
