Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

  The invention relates to a manhole ring made of concrete, consisting of an annular body with an inner annular fold provided on the lower end face for placement on a manhole bottom forming a counterfold.

  Prefabricated manholes are assembled from a prefabricated manhole base and also prefabricated manhole rings, the number of manhole rings used depending on the required shaft height. The watertight connection on the one hand between the manhole bottom and the manhole ring placed on the manhole bottom and on the other hand between the individual manhole rings is achieved via fold connections which are between an inner ring fold on the lower end face of the respective upper manhole ring and an outer counterfold on the lower manhole ring or Shaft bottom with the interposition of a mechanical seal or the like. Since these rebate connections represent weak points within the manhole structure, the risk of the manhole leaking increases with an increasing number of manhole rings.

   In addition, the effort required for sealing increases. In addition, the rebate connections do not result in a tensile coupling of the stacked shaft part, so that despite the backfilling of the shaft rings, floating of the shaft rings cannot be ruled out, which is inevitably associated with the shaft becoming leaky.

  The invention is therefore based on the object to avoid these deficiencies and to design a manhole ring made of concrete of the type described at the outset with simple constructive means that greater safety against leakage of the manhole is achieved and also with larger manhole heights

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 a shaft floor and a single shaft ring that can be found.

  The invention solves this problem in that the ring body has a larger outer diameter in the area of the inner ring fold than the ring part adjoining at the top.

  The larger outer diameter of the ring body in the area of the ring rebate compared to the adjoining ring part requires a wall reinforcement which minimizes the risk of damage otherwise occurring in the case of high shaft rings due to the higher dead weight in the area of the ring rebate, for example when placing on a base not parallel to the end face, without affecting one to have to do without the tried and tested seam connection. Replacing several manhole rings with a single, correspondingly higher manhole ring naturally simplifies the relocation work and increases the watertightness of the manhole due to the omission of several rebate connections.

   The wall thickening in the area of the lower ring rebate also forms an undercut with regard to the backfilling of the offset manhole ring, which prevents the shaft ring from floating within the backfill, because the backfill with the manhole ring would have to be raised.

  Particularly advantageous design conditions result if the ring body forms a transition cone between the area with the larger outside diameter and the ring part adjoining upwards, which not only improves the production and strength of the ring body reinforced in the area of the lower folding ring, but also reduces the risk of damage. Such manhole rings can therefore be made with a wall height of 1200 to 3000 mm
With the help of these manhole rings, manholes of appropriate height can be built from a manhole bottom and a single manhole ring.

   The subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing, for example. Show it

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 in an axial section and FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of a manhole ring according to the invention which differs from FIG. 1, also in axial section.

  The manhole rings shown consist of an annular body 1, which comprises a cylindrical ring part 2 with an annular fold 3 provided on the lower end face and an upwardly eccentrically tapering cone part 4, which forms a support 5 for a manhole cover. In the area of the ring fold 3, the ring body 1 has a larger outside diameter, so that there is a wall reinforcement 6 in the area of the ring fold 3, between which and the ring part 2 adjoining at the top, a transition cone 7 is formed. The ring body 1 has a height between 1200 and 3000 mm, with only the height of the ring part 2, but not the cone part 4, changes with a matching nominal diameter, as can be seen in FIGS. 1 and 2, the ring parts 2 show different heights .

   This makes it possible to replace the manhole rings that are otherwise required for higher manholes with a single manhole ring, which not only facilitates the maneuvering of the manhole, but also improves the tightness and strength of the manhole. Such a manhole ring can be handled despite the higher own weight compared to lower manhole rings without risk of damage to the ring fold 3, because the wall reinforcement 6 in the area of the ring fold 3 offers effective protection even when the ring body 1 is placed on one side on one edge or on an uneven one Underground is parked.

  To move a manhole ring according to the invention, it is placed on a manhole bottom 8, as is shown in FIG. 1. For this purpose, a mechanical seal 9 is first on the counter fold 10 of the
Manhole bottom 8 applied and then the ring body 1 placed on the shaft bottom 8 so that the ring fold 3 and the counter fold 10 interlock. Thereafter, the shaft bottom 8 and the ring body 1 are backfilled with soil, the transition cone 7 of the ring body 1 forming an undercut with respect to this backfilling, which makes lifting the ring body 1 from the shaft bottom 8 considerably more difficult, so that the ring body 1 floats up prevented by rising water from outside and the shaft is watertight.
