In the machine according to FIGS. 5 and G, a ball socket p provided at the end of each piston h accommodates a slotted ball q, in whose slot the inclined control disk k engages so that the individual balls sit like riders on the edge of the disk .
Since the disc through the drum by means of a stop, z. B. by engaging in a radial slot in the disk driving pin of the drum, is inevitably carried along, and the axis of the drum goes through the center of the center plane of the disk, the mutual rotation of the drum and the disk takes place so that two radii of the two parts, which in any position lie in a radial plane, also correspond to this condition in every other position. There is thus no displacement of the balls on the edge of the control disk in the circumferential direction.
In contrast, the inclined position of the control disk and the fact that the balls must always maintain the same distance from the drum axis result in a back and forth movement of the balls relative to the disk, the size of which corresponds to the inclination of the disk.
In the embodiment of the ball joint according to FIGS. 7 and 8, the ball socket is not arranged on the piston itself, but on a shoe pl attached to it. These

The embodiment according to FIGS. 9 and 10 shows the same arrangement with the lower

In the arrangement according to FIGS. 12 and 13, the ball is not only slotted, but is completely cut through. The whole ball bearing is housed in a sleeve r, which is on
