  Verfahren zur Enteisenung von   kieselsaurer   Tonerde, Kaolin und dgl. 



   Kieselsaure Tonerde, Kaolin und dgl. kommen in der Natur gewöhnlich nicht rein vor, sondern mehr oder weniger mit Eisen versetzt. Es ist zwar bekannt, solche Materialien unter Verwendung von Salzsäure, Schwefelsäure oder schwefliger Säure zu enteisenen. Dieses Verfahren hat aber den Nachteil, dass grosse Mengen Säure erforderlich sind, die nachträglich ausgewaschen werden müssen und dass unter Wärmezufuhr gearbeitet werden muss. Für den praktischen Gebrauch sind deshalb diese Verfahren nicht benützbar, weil es sich um geringwertige Materialien handelt, die weder einen Aufwand von hohen Kosten, noch ein umständliches Verfahren zulassen. 



   Nach vorliegender Erfindung soll nun das mit Wasser angerührte und mit geringen Mengen von Mineralsäure versetzte Rohmaterial bei gewöhnlicher Temperatur einen Zusatz von ebenfalls nur geringen Mengen   hydroschwefliger   Säure oder deren Salze erhalten. 



   Um beispielsweise die vollständige Entfernung des Eisengehaltes vom Ton vorzunehmen, setzt man dem Rohmaterial etwa die doppelte Menge mit Mineralsäure versetzten Wasser und hydroschweflige Säure zu. 



   Man wird z. B.   ! las 100 kg kieselsaurer   Tonerde durch Zusatz von 200 kg Wasser und   200 9 hydroschwefligsaurem   Natron sowie 200   9   konzentrierter Schwefelsäure   (66"Be)   schon im Laufe von etwa   1/2   Stunde ein vollständig eisenfreies Rohmaterial erhalten. Die überstehende   Flüssigkeit kann,   da sie in der   Hauptsache   nur eine sehr verdünnte Eisen-   vitriollösung   ist, ohne Verlust abgelassen werden.
