Process for producing true colorations on the fiber.
In the parent patent specification No. 49685 as well as in the first additional patent letter. 5539 describes a process for dyeing wool which is characterized in that the leuco compounds obtainable from o-substituted aldehydes or from those aldehydes which are not substituted in the o-position to the aldehyde group by condensation with o-oxycarboxylic acids are obtained from Triphenylmethane dyestuffs are fixed on the wool fiber in an acid bath and in the same after treatment with oxidizing agents
EMI1.1
The Lenko compounds obtainable as stated above are also attributable to those leuco products which are obtained by condensation of hydroles with aromatic o-oxycarboxylic acids.
EMI1.2
Shows fastness to washing, milling and potting.
Ex. 1: As an example of the dyeing process for the case that the dyeing and developing takes place in a bath, the following process is given:
The dyebath is prepared from 2% (based on the weight of the goods) of the leuco compound obtained from tetramethyldiamidobenzhydrol and o-cresotinic acid, 4% ammonium sulfate and 2% sodium chromate. The goods to be dyed are in the

drifts and cooks for about two hours. The raised color is then rinsed and finished in the usual way. In this way, a beautiful, strong blue-violet of good millfastness is obtained.
Example 2: If you want to work on two baths when dyeing, you can proceed as follows. by using, for example, the leuco compound obtained by the condensation of tetramethyldiamidobenzhydrol and α-oxynaphthoic acid.

whereupon the goods are rinsed and dried in the usual way. The dyeing obtained in this way, a very beautiful, strong, clear blue, has good fastness to washing, milling and potting.
Instead of the Lenko products used in the preceding examples, other leuco compounds formed from hydroles and aromatic oxycarboxylic acids can also be used, e.g. B. the compound which is obtained by condensation of tetralithyldiamidobenzhydrol and o-cresotinic acid or oc-oxynaphthoic acid.
