Hiedurch wird in der Tat die als erstrebenswert geschilderte Verbesserung erreicht, doch könnten auch andere äquivalente Mittel zur Förderung des Wärmeaustausches angewendet werden. In den die Substanz der Bäder bildenden Materialien hat man Medien, welche, wenn sie bis auf die Reaktionstemperatur erhitzt werden, einen grossen Wärmevorrat aufnehmen können, welche ferner die Temperaturschwankungen der in ihnen ein- getauchten Gefässe (Röhren usw. ) mit ihrer Charge sehr rasch auszugleichen vermögen, und welche endlich wegen der nur langsam ansteigenden und leicht regulierbaren Eigentemperatur die Gefahr einer Überhitzung der wirksamen Masse am besten vermeiden lassen.
Bei grösseren Dimensionen der Bäder und der sie durchziehenden mit der Charge gefüllten Röhren oder dgl. besitzen die unteren und die seitlichen Wandungen der Badgefässe für sich allein nicht genügend Heizfläche, es ist aber auch in diesem Falle eine genügende Erhitzung möglich, wenn man die heizenden Verbrennungsgase ganz oder teilweise durch Schächte oder Röhren ziehen lässt, welche ebenfalls die Bäder durchsetzen, aber selbstverständlich nicht mit den die wirksame Charge enthaltenden Gefässen (Röhren oder dgl.) in Verbindung stehen, sondern ein System für sich bilden.
Vorteilhaft ist es, dem System der Heizröhren des Bades eine Richtung quer gegen die Richtung der mit der Charge (Kalziumplumbat, Alkalimanganat oder andere derartig wirkende Stoffe) gefüllten Röhren zu geben und ferner, die geschmolzenen bzw. flüssigen Medien der Bäder durch eine Rührvorrichtung in Bewegung zu erhalten.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE :
1. Verfahren zur getrennten Gewinnung von Sauerstoff und Stickstoff aus Luft durch bei höherer Temperatur erfolgende, vorübergehende chemische Bindung des Sauerstoffes an poröse Substanzen oder Substanzgemische, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass zur Beheizung der die Reaktionssubstanz enthaltenden Gefässe Flüssigkeitsbäder zur Benutzung gelangen, zum Zwecke, eine schnelle Wärmeaufnahme und Wärmeabgabe seitens der Reaktions- gefässe zu ermöglichen.
