Verfahren zur Darstellung von ss-y-Dtmethytbutadien.
Durch das Stammpatent Nr. 56385 ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung von p Dimethyl- butadien geschützt, welches darin besteht, dass man Pinakou mit sauren Salzen der Schwefelsäure destilliert.
Es wurde nun gefunden, dass man auch neutrale, sauer reagierende Sulfate, wie gewöhnlichen Alaun, Eisenalaun, Chromalaun, Kupfersulfat, Eisensulfat, Aluminiumsulfat usw. zu dieser Reaktion verwenden kann. Hiebei ist die Ausbeute an ss-y-Dimethylbutadien sogar noch besser als nach dem Verfahren des Stammpatentes. Auch ist die Anwendung neutraler, leicht zu reinigender Salze technisch einfacher.
Beispiel.
1000 Teile Pinakon werden mit 100 Teilen gewöhnlichem Alaun im Destillationapparat auf 1400 C erhitzt. Es destillieren Rtwas unverändertes Pinakon, Wasser und Pinakolin und des ss-#-Dimethylbutadien über. Letzteres wird durch fraktionierte Destillation gereinigt. Die Ausbeute beträgt etwa 77% der Theorie.

The parent patent no. 56385 protects a process for the preparation of p-dimethylbutadiene, which consists in distilling Pinakou with acidic salts of sulfuric acid.
It has now been found that neutral, acidic sulfates, such as common alum, iron alum, chrome alum, copper sulfate, iron sulfate, aluminum sulfate, etc., can be used for this reaction. The yield of ss-γ-dimethylbutadiene is even better than that obtained with the process of the parent patent. The use of neutral, easy-to-clean salts is also technically easier.
Example.
1000 parts of pinacon are heated to 1400 ° C. with 100 parts of ordinary alum in a distillation apparatus. Somewhat unchanged pinacon, water and pinacolin and the ss - # - dimethylbutadiene distill over. The latter is purified by fractional distillation. The yield is about 77% of theory.
