Pressure regulator for steam, compressed air or hydraulic fluid.
The subject of the invention is a pressure regulator for steam, compressed air or hydraulic fluid, which is intended to provide the possibility of being able to set any pressure from zero to the maximum value by changing the piston rod stroke, regardless of the level of the incoming pressure medium.
The present invention consists in that the tubular inlet slide, which is subject to weight or spring action, is designed as a cylinder for a piston which adjusts the pressure according to its displacement, such that the pressure medium enters the cylinder between the cylinder base and the piston body and the inlet slide can slide back into the final position when the desired pressure is reached, the weight or spring loading striving to hold the inlet slide and piston together.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing, namely: in FIG. 1 in a longitudinal section and in FIG. 2 in view.
The pressure regulator is intended to be connected to a press cylinder with nozzle A,
EMI1.1
of the regulator, the tubular inlet slide d is housed, which is designed as a cylinder in which a piston b moves with the rod that extends outwards (l. The lower part of the rod n carries a spring c, which always strives for inlet slide and piston hold together when lifting the piston rod a.
The live steam can pass from the inlet connection k through the channel e past the recess f of the inlet slide d through the channel g in the inlet valve between the cylinder base and the piston body.
The controller works as follows:
If one lifts the rod a and thus the piston, the resulting spring tension also lifts the inlet slide, thereby releasing channel c and the steam can pass through recess f of the inlet slide into the press cylinder and through channel g between cylinder head and piston body b
EMI1.2
the steam pressure is pushed back to the final position. The further the piston is pulled out, the stronger the spring tension and the higher the pressure in the regulator.
If the piston b is moved downwards again, the slide d is pushed back by the steam pressure and allows the steam in the brake cylinder to escape through the small outlet openings l until equilibrium is restored.
