    Dampfwa88erableiter.

    Steam trap.

The steam water forming the subject of the invention. In contrast to the known designs, bleiter works without an inner lever arrangement and an externally located pull rod, enables safe control of any number of ball valves installed in the bottom of the pot and allows the pot to be blown out through a special venting device.

In the drawing, the steam trap is shown schematically in cross section.
The housing a, which is designed in a known manner, has a funnel-shaped pot bottom b, at the lowest point of which a closure body c is inserted, which serves as a seat for the valve balls d. The valve balls close the circular openings c, each of which is provided with a plate-shaped milled recess on the upper side to enable the balls to easily enter and move from the bore e.

On the housing cover of the pot a, a ventilation device 1: of any type is placed, the lower end k of which is bored out cylindrically and forms a guide for the guide pin g of the float f.

The steam trap works as follows:
If the water rises in the trap, the float "1" is raised and the pipe h connected to it is pulled vertically upwards. The extended end piece of this pipe now lifts the symmetrically arranged spheres d in a circle from the holes e so that the water can drain off. The balls roll off easily thanks to the plate-shaped cut-out, and the ball valves also make it safer when the float falls.

Due to the large number of bores e, the steam water drain cannot become clogged, and when small bodies such as scale particles pass through, the individual balls d can roll off completely and expose the entire cross-section e of the pipe.

If the vent valve i is closed, there is pressure on all sides in the pot, which is evenly distributed. If, however, the vent i is opened, the vapor pressure escapes there, regardless of what voltage it may be, and various vapor pressure effects arise. While the lower half of the float and the other control devices are under the same load, the upper half is reduced by the load that results from the cross-section of the guide rod g multiplied by the steam pressure. With a cross-section of the rod y of l r2 and a vapor pressure of 5 atmospheres, the upper part of the internal mechanism will receive around 5 kg less pressure than the lower part.

The consequence of this fact is that the guide rod g is pushed upwards under the venting device, pulling the float with the tube attachment h along with it and the ball valve control is set for blowing through. Pushing away the \ 'enti. balls cl from the
 EMI1.1
ventilation device i is closed again, whereupon the internal mechanism is evenly acted upon by the steam pressure on all sides.

The dimensioning of the diameter of the guide rod y can be selected according to the pressure. A guide rod g can also be used, onto which piston-like cylindrical parts are placed.

The steam trap can also be used to divert other pressurized liquids without major changes to its design.

    PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Steam water drain, characterized in that the extended end of a pipe attached to the centrally guided float engages under several valve balls symmetrically mounted in the bottom of the pot, so that when the float is raised, the valve balls roll off the bores (e).
