Process for cooling distillation products, distillation residues and the like.
Many chemical industries such as B. the petroleum and tar industries, have to work with coolants to cool the distillation products, distillation residues and the like. Before their further processing. The heat extracted from these products is not only lost uselessly, but the cooling of the products is also associated with costs. The invention is based on the fact that by using an ammonia absorption cooling machine, which is operated with distillation products or the like instead of steam, the cooling of the latter can be used to produce ice or to produce cold.
The temperature that the liquid must have for the intended purpose, when using ammonia as a coolant, is approximately 1600 C. For such a process liquids are suitable, such as the distillation residues and the like in the petroleum and tar industry have a boiling point above the temperature mentioned. This method therefore not only saves the costly cooling of these bodies but also the heat contained in them is directly beneficial for cooling or cooling. Exploited ice production and made the use of live steam, the production of which is associated with costs, superfluous.
With this method, it is therefore advisable to add a cooling system or an ice cream factory to chemical plants in which such hot liquids are available.
