Verfahren zur Herstellung einer plastischen Masse.
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer plastischen Masse aus Leim mit geeigneten Zusätzen, wie Glyzerin, Wachs oder dgl., sowie von Füllmitteln.
Die Erfindung besteht darin, dass als Füllmittel an Stelle der bisher üblichen Stoffe kristallisierter, pulverisierter Gips oder Doppelspat angewendet wird. Dies hat den Vorzug, dass man ein Produkt erhält, welches in seinen äusseren Eigenschaften, insbesondere der Transparenz, dem Zelluloid entspricht, dabei aber die guten Eigenschaften der Leimmasse, nämlich ihre Nichtentflammbarkeit, leichte Verarbeitung, Härte und Elastizität besitzt. Durch geeignete Wahl der Mengenverhältnisse hat man es in der Hand, ein Produkt herzustellen, welches sich in empfindliche Formen und ohne Anwendung von Druck vergiessen lässt, wobei man je nach Wunsch durch entsprechende Zusammensetzung der Masse, insbesondere nach der Menge des Wachszusatzes, sowohl stumpfe als glänzende Oberflächen erhalten kann.
Ausserdem hat die Masse den Vorzug, dass sie bei richtiger Wahl der Mengenverhältnisse beim Austrocknen gleichförmig schwindet, ohne dass Deformationen eintreten.
