Description

Rolling mill with two trio rolling stands behind each other.

The invention relates to a rolling mill with two trio rolling stands one behind the other, in which the corresponding rolls of both stands have opposite directions of rotation and consists in the fact that the lower roll of each stand is supported so that it is pushed forward from the plane of the associated middle and upper rolls against the other stand is that the tangents in the line of contact of the lower and middle roll of each stand on the lower roll are directed to the line of contact between the middle and upper roll of the other stand.

The subject of the invention is shown schematically in a side view in the drawing.

On the one hand, a and a denote the lower rollers, b, b and c, c 'denote the central and upper rollers, which are mounted off-center to one another in the manner shown in the drawing. The known guides d and d 'are used to guide or turn the rolling stock. The roller tables provided for guiding the rolling stock to the grooving gauges are indicated by e and e '. The opposite direction of rotation of the roller grabs, which is known per se, is indicated by arrows.

The invention ensures that curvatures of the rolling stock when guiding from the calibers of the one into the caliber of the other roll stand are avoided, since the rolled material, following the tangent of the roll contact points, is already pushed up directly against the upper caliber of the other stand.

For thicker profiles (railroad tracks, heavier I and U iron or the like), the automatic guidance by guide channels when the rolling stock emerges horizontally from the gauges of one and also horizontal penetration into the gauges of the other roll stand is not applicable, since the rolled stock is stronger Cross section is unable to follow the required curvatures of the guides and would compress and jam in the guides. With the new device, the guides only have to cause the rolling stock to be turned, if necessary, since the rolling stock receives the corresponding upward movement by relocating the contact point of the rolls from the vertical. Thus, the automatic guidance, which is advantageous in every respect, for strong profiles is only made possible by the invention.

An upward exit of the rolling stock from the upper pass is prevented by the larger diameter of the upper roller.

Furthermore, the device, since the rolling stock is the respective first roller with one of the
Stretching leaves corresponding higher speed, made so that the respective second roller has an increased rolling speed. This is achieved by making the distance between the upper and lower rollers and the center roller different
Makes rolling stepwise. The different distances between the rollers can be achieved through
Inclination of the breaking spindles or by differently sized comb rollers. To be too deep
To avoid turning in the lower roller, the latter can also run slower and give it a larger diameter.
