In letzterem Falle wird bei gefülltem Katarakt die Bewegung des Kolbens gesperrt. Dies macht die Einschaltung eines elastischen Zwischengliedes 12 in das Antriebsgetriebe des Kolbens erforderlich. 



   Die Pumpe lässt sich auch für Gase oder Dämpfe verwenden. Dem Flüssigkeitsspiegel entspricht dann ein gewünschter Gasdruck, bei dessen Erreichung die entsprechend gewählte Ventilfeder nicht mehr imstande ist, die in dem Katarakt eingeschlossene Gasmenge so stark zu verdichten, dass ein Schluss des Druckventiles stattfinden kann.

1. Regelungsvorrichtung für   Flüssigkeits-, Gas-oder Dampfpumpen,   dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein oder mehrere Pumpenteile (z. B. Ventile oder Kolben) mit einem Katarakt in Verbindung stehen, der ihre Wirkung beeinflusst bzw. zeitweise ausschaltet, um die Förderung der Pumpe zu unterbrechen, wenn ein bestimmter Flüssigkeitsspiegel oder Druck erreicht ist.
