EMI1.1
The present invention relates to a hinge with a lens button and consists in the fact that the lens button produced without a pin is welded or soldered onto the rolled band part.
So far, the button buttons, which were either pressed as rivets or turned from solid material, but always provided with pegs, were fastened in the rolled band part in such a way that a hole was drilled through the roll of the band part and the pin of the button and a rivet punched through has been. With this previous type of fastening, time-consuming and cumbersome work was therefore necessary in order to fasten the lens button to the hinge, so to make the latter ready for use. In addition, the pin of the button required a not insignificant additional expenditure of material.
The subject matter of the invention shown in the drawing takes these inconveniences into account.
1 shows the hinge welded to the lens button, FIG. 2 is a plan view of FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a section along line AB of FIG. 2, FIG. 4 shows the lens button in section made of solid material manufactured, Fig. 5 shows the same pressed from sheet metal.
The lower edge e of the lens button a is expediently made beveled in order to produce a suitable welding surface. This edge fits into the rolled part of the hinge band b, which is also provided with a bevel d for the same reason.
In the subject matter of the invention, the pin of the button is omitted. The latter can even be pressed from sheet metal in the form of a cup, that is to say it can be manufactured with a material expenditure that is no less possible.
Only one activity, namely welding or soldering, is now necessary to attach the lens button to the hinge.
With this type of connection, the lens button is also attached to the rolled iron band in a much more reliable and secure manner by the
Button and the hinge can be created as a single whole.
Both the way the lens button and the hinge band are connected and the special design of the lens button itself produce a hinge which, in addition to the lower production costs, has the significant advantage of greater utility due to easier handling and greater durability.
