Verfahren zur Herstellung von Holzstoff aus Stammholzabfällen.
In der Holzstoff-Fabrikation wurden bisher nur Langhölzer verwendet, welche ihrem Volumen und ihrer Grösse entsprechend, eine längere Dämpfung erforderlich machten, durch welche eine Verfärbung des Holzes eintrat oder Abfallhölzer, Sträucher, Zweige und Baumkronen, weiches Material jedoch infolge seiner Ungleichmässigkeit kein brauchbares Produkt lieferte. denn die kleinen Stücke wurden in derselben Zeit totgemahlen, während welcher die grossen Stücke noch fast unverarbeitet blieben, so dass ein sehr häufiges Sortieren nachtraglich erforderlich wurde.
Gemäss der vorliegenden Erfindung wird maschinell gleichmässig vorzerkleinertes Holz in Holzreissern oder dgl. Einrichtungen verschliffen. Durch die maschinelle Vorzerkleinerung wird ein homogenes Vorprodukt geschaffen, welches im Holzreisser auch gleichmässig vermahlen werden kann.
Es kann bei diesem Verfahren auch eine Dämpfung zur Anwendung gelangen, welche in Anbetracht dessen, dass es sich nicht um Langhölzer, sondern um zerkleinertes Holz handelt, von kurzer Dauer sein kann, die 15 bis 30 Minuten nicht überschreitet, wodurch ein Verfärben des Holzes verhindert wird und doch alle die günstigen Wirkungen der Dämpfung auf die Vorbearbeitung des Materials voll ausgenutzt werden. An Stelle der Dämpfung kann man auch das vorzerkleinerte Holz mit heissem Wasser vermengen und so dem Reisser zuführen. Dies hat eine ähnliche Wirkung wie die kurze Dämpfung.
