 EMI1.1

 EMI1.1

The invention relates to metal sheet pile walls which are composed of metal sheets with a trough-shaped cross-section, the connecting strips of the sheets being shaped so that when the sheets are lined up to form a sheet pile wall, all of the sheets with their trough opening point to the same side. The invention consists in that the connecting strips are arranged on one side of the neutral axis running through the middle of the sheet pile wall at the greatest distance from this axis, which arrangement is made possible by a peculiar design of the connecting strips.

In the drawing, the invention is illustrated by two exemplary embodiments of a sheet pile wall panel, which are drawn in cross section. Both of the trough-shaped sheet pile panels shown are provided in a known manner in the leg ends with strips for connecting the panels to one another in order to be able to rub them together to form a sheet pile wall.

The connecting strip o of one leg has the shape of an inwardly projecting circular arc-shaped hook, while that of the other leg is in this way
 EMI1.2
can rotate through a certain angle.

While in the embodiment according to FIG. 1 the bar a is riveted onto the board edge, in FIG. 2 the part d corresponding to this bar is formed in one piece with the board, whereas here the piece e is riveted to the board edge.

The strips are arranged and designed in such a way that when the panels are lined up, they all lie on the same side of the neutral axis of the sheet pile wall; the connection points are in the largest position on the neutral axis running through the sheet pile wall.

Since larger amounts of material are now combined at the connection points, the arrangement results in a large section modulus of the sheet pile wall
It is advantageous to bend the connecting strips in the embodiment explained in principle above in such a way that, even after two panels have been joined together, the
 EMI1.3
the ramming work becomes easier and safer, because this means that dip boards are in direct contact with the support surfaces with their back and front surfaces - i.e. on both sides - when they are driven in, and thus no special guide devices when installing.

 PATENT CLAIMS:

1. Trough-shaped sheet piling panel made of metal with connecting strips at the leg ends, which strips are shaped so that the panels all face the same side when they are lined up with their trough opening, characterized. that the connecting strips are arranged on one side of the neutral axis running through the middle of the sheet pile wall at the greatest distance from this axis.
