Process for the production of a pockmarked decoration on enamelled metal objects.

The invention relates to a method for producing a decoration on enameled metal objects, according to which a white or colored glaze coating is applied to the enamel layer of the object to be decorated, the surface of which has more or less pronounced unevenness or elevations and depressions in a regular or irregular sequence.

It is true that enamelled metal objects are already known in which a decorative layer with unevenness is applied over the enamel layer. In contrast to these, the decorated metal-

In order to now enamelled metal objects, e.g. B. to provide those made of sheet iron, according to the present invention with the mentioned, marked by pockmarked elevations and Vel depressions, a white or any colored glaze mass is applied to the relevant, in the known manner finished enamelled object, which is sufficiently consistent must in order to enable the same to adhere to vertical surfaces.

This mass consists of an intimate mixture that z. B. to 100 parts of so-called white glaze, d. H. a glaze mass mixed with tin oxide as an opacifier and consisting of alkali, lime, clay, silicic acid and boric acid, 0.2 part chlorine magnesium,

H. a glaze that is so rich in silicic acid and difficult to melt that it gives an acid resistance of 99 in the titration customary in enamelware manufacture and prevents too rapid melting.
