Sandblasting blower.
The sandblasting blower, which forms the subject of the present invention, belongs to that group of sandblasting blowers which are used with success wherever the objects to be treated with sand are remote from the installation location of the blower.
The purpose of the device according to the invention of such a sandblasting blower is to concentrate the air-sand mixture that is in motion towards the sand outlet opening towards the pipe axis without any operational disruption. This concentration is brought about by an air eddy current which forcibly hurls the moving sand particles towards the pipe axis from which they previously emerged as a result of the effects of centrifugal force and gravity.
The compression of the sand along the pipe axis primarily offers the advantage of reduced frictional resistance between the air-sand mixture and the pipe wall or pipe wall, which results in far less wear on the pipe walls. On the other hand, the sand shows less tendency to this peculiar storage. to separate from the sand-air mixture during the movement and to sink to the bottom of the pipe, whereby the blockages of the lines, which often occur with sandblasting blowers and disrupt regular operation, are reduced to a minimum.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
J. is the sand container, the cambered bottom of which is connected to the downpipe with the regulation change G, which feeds the sand to the sand-air tube B. By is the entry point for the main air flow. C Is it spiraling with a gradual pace

Bore the ejector d is movably mounted. The purpose of this ejector is to be able to eject the sand that has temporarily been popped in the slit of the vortex through the corresponding hole in the tap housing when the changeover is closed. The spiral spring e causes the ejector tip to be withdrawn from the area of the vortex.
When starting up the sandblasting blower, air is first divided into the sand-air pipe B by the compressor. Thereupon the sand regulation exchange G located in the downpipe

from G the sand-air mixture is then adjusted according to the requirements.
In the event of a shutdown, first G gi, is closed, then F and finally the power line at B, is interrupted.
