Fig. 5 erläutert die Verwendungsweise der Bürste.

Wire brush for cleaning Keesel pipes and the like like

The previously known wire brushes for cleaning boiler tubes on the outside consist of an elongated handle and rows of wires made of steel or other suitable material attached to it and protruding on opposite sides. With this arrangement, wires attached to the extreme end of the brush wear out much faster than those closer to the handle. because the former have to go through the whole group of tubes when the brush is inserted between the tubes.

Since these known wire brushes are difficult to repair, according to the invention the wires are attached to the handles in an exchangeable manner, namely in the manner. that they are attached to special loose sheet metal strips, which in turn can be detachably connected to the handle. In this way, the brush can be composed of any number of comb-like parts, of which the worn parts are detached from the handle and replaced with new ones.

The drawing shows an embodiment of the invention as an example. Figures 1 and 2 are two mutually perpendicular side views of the brush. Fig. 3 shows a cross section of one of the above-mentioned comb-like parts and Fig. 4 is a cross section of the stem. Fig. 5 explains how the brush is used.

The handle consists of three sheet metal strips 1, 2, 3 of such a length that they extend outside the handle 4 through a group of tubes. The two outer sheet metal strips 1 and are offset from one another in the transverse direction and their outer edges are bent inwards so that each strip has two narrow longitudinal strips 3 on the inside. The inner sheet metal strip. ; has a smaller width than the two outer 1 and 2, so that on each side of the same between the two outer strips a channel 6 is formed, which serves to accommodate the appropriately designed comb-like brush parts.

   The latter exist

protruding edges of sheet metal strips 1 and 2, the wires on the side towards which they are bent. so that they grip between the pipes up to the pipe handle
The device described makes it possible to keep the wire brush always in good condition by replacing a worn comb with a new one, if necessary. Since the combs can be manufactured at a very cheap price, this results in significant cost savings.

The wire brush described can of course be modified in various ways.
 EMI1.2
suitable material, characterized in that special brush parts (7), in which the wires (8) are attached, are mounted in one or more longitudinal grooves (6) or the like arranged on the handle in such a way that! 3 they can be easily replaced.
