In Fig. 3, the Erssndungsgegenatand is shown in connection with a centrifugal pump 6 for liquid. This pump has to suck the water through the suction line 7 from a well and convey it on through the pressure line 8. Some water constantly flows from the pressure line or from another source into a container 9, in which an overflow 10 ensures that the water level always remains at the same level. At the bottom of the container 9 is the venturi meter 11, through which water flows from the container 9 through the pipe 12 into the neck of the suction line 7 and from there into the impeller of the pump.

Because the back pressure in the container 9 remains the same, the negative pressure in the suction line 7 and especially in front of the wheel inlet changes with the flow rate, the amount flowing through the venturimeter 11 and therefore the negative pressure that forms in the narrowest part of the venturimeter is variable. It can be transferred to a small auxiliary engine 13, the piston of which under the action of a spring z. B. moves the controller 14 of the excitation current for the drive electric motor of the pump. With the device shown in FIG. 3, the pump 6 can be regulated to an almost constant delivery rate without the need for a narrowing in the main line, which, as is known, would considerably reduce the overall efficiency of the entire system.

Because due to the arrangement of the outlet opening of the secondary line in the throat before
