Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung bildet ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von plastischen Nachbildungen erhabener Gegenstände, weiches im Wesen darin besteht. dass ein durch Durch- leuehrung eines Abgusses in durchscheinender Masse erhaltenes Lichtbild mittels der bekannten photographischen Quellverfahren in eine erhabene positive oder negative Nachbildung rück- ; übertragen wird.
Zunächst wird von dem nachzubildenden Gegenstande ein Abklatsch in durchscheinender Masse, z. B. in Paraffin und von diesem sodann ein photographisches Durch ! euchtungsbi ! d her- gestellt. Da die Intensität des aus dem durchleuchteten Block auf die Plane fallenden Lichtes : an jeder Stelle offenbar der Wegstrecke die das Licht in der durchscheinenden Masse zurucklegen muüte, also der Stärke des Abgusses an jeder Stelle umgekehrt proportional ist, so entspricht das erhaltene Bild in seinen Lichtern und Schatten, oder wie der photographische Ausdruck lautet, in seiner Deckung, genau den Erhabenheitsverhältnissen des Originales.
