   Mit der flachen Seite wirkende Schleifscheiben zum Bearbeiten ebener Flächen, insbesondere an Metallkörpern, die mit Aussparungen zum Aufnehmen und Abführen der Späne versehen sind, sind bekannt. Man kann hiebei in der Hauptsache drei Arten von Schleifscheiben unter- scheiden. Die eine Art benutzt einzeln nebeneinanderliegende   Schleifflächenteilchen, zwischen   welchen Lücken zur Aufnahme der Schleifspäne und dgl. freibleiben. Eine dergestalt beschaffene
Scheibe hat den Nachteil der geringen Festigkeit der Schleifteilchen gegen den Schleifdruck. 



   Die zweite Art der Schleifscheiben besitzt von geraden Kanten begrenzte, die Schleiffläche durch- ziehende   Kanäle.   Hiebei hat sich herausgestellt, dass die zwischen den Kanälen stehenden Schleif- flächenteile verhältnismässig leicht abbrechen. Die letzte Art der Schleifscheiben zeigt die An- ordnung von konzentrischen oder   spiralisclien, wellen-oder zickzackförmig   begrenzten Kanälen, bei denen indessen eine ungenügende Spanabfuhr eintritt. 



   Diesen bekannten Arten von Schleifscheiben gegenüber hat die Schleifscheibe gemäss der
Erfindung die Ausbildung, dass die auf der ebenen Schleiffläche angeordnete Aussparungen wellen-oder zickzackförmig nach parallelen Sehnen verlaufen. Diese Schleifscheiben ergeben eine wesentlich höhere Schleifleistung, wie die zuvor erläuterten. 



   Auf der Zeichnung ist eine Ausführungsform der Scheibe in Fig. 1 in einer Ansicht und in Fig. 2 im Querschnitt dargestellt. a ist die aus Gewebe oder Faserstoff bestehende Unterlage für das Schleifmittel b, welches beispielsweise aus durch Klebstoff gebundenem   Schmirgel,   Korund, Siliziumkarbid oder dgl. besteht. In der   Schleifmasse   b sind nach parallelen Sehnen verlaufende, wellen-oder zickzack- förmige   Kanäle f als   Aussparungen vorgesehen.
