held in the position corresponding to FIG. 4, i. H. not twisted any further, the pressure must also remain at a constant level. If it falls due to cooling losses or any leaks, the spring pushes the slide in the direction q and lets steam flow in through c. If, on the other hand, the pressure increases as a result of leaks, it overcomes the spring, pushes the slide in the direction 1) and steam escapes through the now open slot e. Should z.
If, for example, the brake is released, then the slide a is turned back by the lever 0 in the direction s, this brings the opening b to lie over the slot e (Fig. 5), the steam escapes, the pressure disappears and the spring pushes the slide back into the starting position shown in FIG.
Any leaks do not affect the effectiveness in any way.
Of course, the controller can also be designed in such a way that the axial displacement is carried out manually, but the rotation is carried out with the interaction of the variable pressure and the spring.
Any other load (weights, electromagnets or the like) can be used instead of the spring.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Pressure regulator for brakes, presses and the like. With variable pressure, characterized in that there is only one closure member which is movable in two directions in such a way that the adjustment in one direction is done by the control linkage, while the movement in the other direction takes place under the influence of the variable pressure and a spring, and that each time a new equilibrium is brought about, which corresponds to the adjustment made by the linkage and a very specific pressure.
