Dadurch, dass das in den ersten Nachsetzabteilungen abgeschiedene leichtere Gut, welches in der Regel nicht aus Abgängen, sondern aus Zwischenprodukten besteht, in den nächsten Setzabteil übertritt, wird verhindert, dass eine Wiedervermischung mit dem leichtesten Material, in der Regel den Abgängen, eintritt, d. h. also, es wird unnötige Arbeit erspart, dagegen erreicht, dass dieses abgeschiedene, weniger schwere Gut in dem Nachsetzabteil der nächsten Abteilung mit einem ihm ähnlichen" Material gemeinsam naehgesetzt und verbessert wird.
Während bei den bekannten Verfahren das im Setzprozess abgeschiedene schwere Gut als unterste Schicht durch Berge und Zwischenprodukte überdeckt und damit eine Beurteilung der Konzentrate erst nach ihrem Verlassen des Setzprozeaaes möglich wird, liegen die Konzentrate bei dem neuen Verfahren in dem Nachsetzabteil offen vor dem Beobachter und kann eine Verschlechten mg der Konzentrate frühzeitig genug durch Einstellen der Austragöfhungen verhindert und gleichzeitig eine Regelung des Vor-und Nachsetzprozesses auf schnellstem Wege durchgeführt werden.
4. Die durch die seitliche Einschaltung des Nachsetzabteils geschaffene Möglichkeit, das Konzentrat an mehreren Punkten der Vorderwand der Setzmaschine abzuziehen, bietet den grossen Vorteil einer leichten und guten Einstellbarkeit der Setzmaschinen, welche durch die schnell und gut durchzuführende Beobachtung des Nachsetzabteils unterstützt wird.
Die Vorteile des neuen Verfahrens gegenüber den bekannten Verfahren beruhen also in der ge- steigerten 8etzfähigkeit hinsichtlich des Ausbringens, der Reinheit der Produkte und der durch eine grössere Leistung gegebenen Verringerung des Kraft-und Wasserverbrauches.

The advantages of the new method over the known methods are based on the increased wettability with regard to the output, the purity of the products and the reduction in power and water consumption due to a higher output.
