The procedure is carried out in the following way:
The lattice insert e wire with the spacers f is placed on the bottom b of the press box a, whereupon the cork o is loosely filled and the lid is put on, which is then brought under sufficient pressure. Under the influence of the pressure, the volume of the material to be pressed is reduced significantly. the shrinkage of the cork can be up to a ratio of about 10 to 1. After the sufficient pressure has been achieved, the cover d is secured by the pins.
 EMI2.1
passes through and is evenly distributed above and below the insert in accordance with the decreasing volume.

It also fills the spaces immediately below the bars completely tightly.

If at the beginning of the work process a layer of cork is first filled into the mold, the reinforcement insert e is placed on this layer together with the spacers f and the mold is then completely filled, the spacing members f do not initially touch the bottom of the mold. During the pressing process, however, the insert moves down together with the spacers until they rest on the bottom of the mold and thereby limit the movement of the egg layer. As the pressing process continues, the spacers then fulfill their task in the same way as if they had been placed on the bottom of the mold right at the start.

It is therefore possible in any case to embed the reinforcing insert including the spacers at any height within the lower half of the cork mass, without having to fear that the insert will shift too much or be irregular.

Of course, compacts can be produced in the same way in which the reinforcing insert is not in the middle of the height, but near the upper or lower surface of the plate; only the height or length of the spacers f needs to be selected accordingly.

The pressed plate that is still in the mold is passed on to the known

 to endure.

In reinforced concrete construction, organs that hold the reinforcing iron in the correct position have been used for a long time. In the case of concrete bodies, however, the situation is different

Claims (1)

Spacers are laid in the press mold in such a way that they assume the desired position in the finished pressed body without displacement during pressing or with their displacement being limited by the spacers.
