Method and device for cleaning and sterilizing barrels and the like.
EMI1.1
barrels and milk cans, is known, but has so far made practical difficulties because a successful application requires that the ozone acts under a certain pressure in not too low a concentration and in the presence of moisture.
The method and the device according to the invention should meet the three above-mentioned conditions by sucking the ozone or the ozonated air through a liquid jet into a mixing nozzle and introducing it directly into the vessel, with a spring-loaded valve cone seated on the spray nozzle opening the vessel closes and ensures that a certain pressure is maintained in the vessel.
In order to accelerate this process, the device can be designed in such a way that, as long as the opening is still unlocked and before the pressurized water line is opened, a jet of ozone air is blown into the vessel, which displaces the existing, non-ozonated air from the vessel, so that it does not dilute the blown ozone mixture during cleaning.
The drawing explains an embodiment of the device, namely FIG. 1 shows

PATENT CLAIMS:]. Method for cleaning and sterilizing barrels and the like. With ozone, characterized in that initially highly ozonized air or highly ozonized oxygen is blown into the still open barrel for a short time, whereupon the barrel, which has meanwhile been closed by a valve that can be set to a certain overpressure, by means of an as Jet apparatus-trained nozzle an intimate mixture of highly ozonized air and pressurized water is injected.
