Es sind bereits mit Druckluft betriebene Gasturbinen bekannt, bei denen die Druckluft vor der Einführung in die Turbine überhitzt wird. Die Überhitzung erfolgt hiebei entweder bei dor Durchleitung durch gebeizte Gefässe (Röhrenkessel oder dgl.) oder durch unmittelbare Vormengung mit den Heizgasen einer besonderen Feuerung.
Nach der Erfindung wird dieses Verfahren dadurch vereinfacht, dass die Überhitzung der Druckluft durch Beimengung der etwa unter dem gleichen Druck stehenden Eutspannungsgaso der den Vordichter treibenden Verbrennungskraftmaschine herbeigeführt wird. Zu dem Zweck wird der Entspannungsvorgang in der Verbrennungskraftmaschine in dem Augenblick abgebrochen, in dem die Mischung ihrer Verbrennungsgase mit der durch die Arbeitsleistung der Verbrennungskraftmaschine hergestellten Druckluft die mit Rücksicht auf die Güte der für die Turbine verwendeten Baustoffe zulässige Höchsttemperatur ergibt. Aus der erforderlichen Temperatur der Verbrennungsgase ergibt sich der für die Turbine zugelassene Anfangsdruck.
Eine Ausführungsform des Erfindungsgegenstandes ist schematisch auf der Zeichnung dargestellt.
Der Verdichter a wird durch eine oder mehrere Verbrennungskraftmaschinen b, die ausserdem noch Arbeit nach aussen abgeben können, angetrieben, beispielsweise durch Dieselmaschinen.
