    Steinspaltmaschine.   



   Um bei Steinspaltmaschinen dem Stein eine allseitige Beweglichkeit zu sichern, so dass ihn der Arbeiter nach Belieben hin und her, vor und und zurück sowie unter jedem Winkel schräg bewegen kann, wird als Auflage für den Stein eine Kugel vorgesehen. Deren Lagerung ist nun sehr leicht dem Verschmutzen sowie einer schnellen Abnutzung infolge des eindringende Steinstaubes und der Steinsplitter unterworfen. 



   Um diesen Nachteil zu beseitigen, wird die Auflagerkugel gemäss vorliegender Erfindung gegen Verstaubung dadurch geschützt, dass eine sie über ihrem Lager umgreifende ringförmige Kappe vorgesehen wird, welche eine Schmierpackung aufnimmt und an die Kugel drückt. Neben der Schmierung bewirkt diese Kappe, die z. B. aus Filz oder ähnlichem Material bestehen kann, eine vollständige Säuberung   der Kugeloberfläche,   da sie nach Art einer Bürste wirkt. Der Eintritt von Steinstaub und Steinabfällen in das Lager der Kugel wird dadurch nach Möglichkeit verhindert, so dass die leichte Beweglichkeit der Kugel wesentlich gefördert und länger erhalten bleibt. Ausserdem wird auch die Abnutzung der Kugellagerung auf ein Mindestmass herabgesetzt
Die Zeichnung stellt in einer Seitenansicht teilweise im Schnitt eine Ausführungsform der Erfindung dar.
