Apparatus for mud treatment of body joints.
It is known that in the treatment of rheumatism, joint inflammation and the like, the affected part of the body is treated with mud by using the mud with the help of a pack to completely envelop the body part. As is well known, the mud treatment requires. that the mud is in a hot state. For the desired success to occur, it is essential that the fango layer surrounds the joint to be treated on all sides with a thoroughly uniform thickness, and the fango layer must have a very specific thickness, which varies depending on the joint to be treated. It is experiential
EMI1.1
Fango treatment means that the heating of the mud layer and the resulting heating of the joint must be regulated.
It is important to heat the joint differently on the inside than on the outside.
The invention now consists in an apparatus for mud treatment of body joints.
EMI1.2
The joint to be treated is wrapped in an even thickness on all sides. It also fulfills the requirement that the heating of the fango duct can be regulated, since the upper and lower parts form structurally independent hollow-walled vessels for receiving heating fluid.
The device also fulfills the requirement that the fango mass does not need to be sealed, despite the fact that the extremity supporting the joint (arm, leg) enters the device on one side and exits on the other.
An embodiment is shown in the drawing in FIGS. 1 and 2 and a further embodiment is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, both in a vertical longitudinal section and in an upper view.

The tub is accordingly adapted to the shape of the foot, i.e. H. Designed in such a way that the foot, including the required surrounding mud mass, has enough space in the tub. The foot is drawn in dotted lines. When the foot is inserted, the hinge cover a is opened

is held in the desired position. You can therefore adjust the tub at an angle, as required. The handle h is used to facilitate transport. The drainage port is marked with J! designated.

Btie tubs for other body joints, e.g. B. the wrist or the knee joint are permitted appropriately. However, the double-walled vessel with its lid is always designed in such a way that it adapts to the shape of the body part that is entered and surrounded by the fanaohutlc.
It must also be pointed out that instead of mud, other media can of course also be used, as medicine actually knows different ones. Hot air can also be regarded as such a medium. In this case, the tub would serve the purpose of the one enclosed by it. The amount of air surrounding the limb is constantly at the required temperature. to keep. The tub then offers a substitute for the electrical light irradiation (in particular the use of ultraviolet rays), which is frequently applicable for many sick people (e.g. those with heart disease). Quite apart from that, the bathtub offers a lot in this case! simpler, cheaper and more lasting treatment agent.
