Methods of producing walls in such a way that finished panels are attached to a framework made of wood, iron or reinforced concrete are known several times. However, the production of the cladding panels, which are required for this process and are usually provided with protruding fastening inserts, is very laborious, time-consuming, not possible by machine and therefore very expensive; Furthermore, the cladding panels are attached directly to the uprights and bars of the framework, which is not only impractical but also expensive, since in such a case the uprights have to be placed very close to one another, whereby a lot of material is wasted.

In the case of wooden frames, the cladding panels are easily destroyed by warping or twisting the wood.

These disadvantages are intended to be eliminated by the present invention. At the same time, use is made of the construction of the cladding panels without mortar, which is advantageous in certain cases, as has already been proposed elsewhere.

The framework is clad with machine-made artificial stone slabs in a dry way, in such a way that the cladding panels are not directly connected to the framework and neither mortar, nails, screws nor bolts are required for their attachment. For this purpose, vertical slats are attached to the framework with the interposition of small, elastic blocks. An iron,

Danger for the cladding panels warping or twisting, since the blocks inserted between the framework and the battens only offer a very small resistance, which is also as good as canceled by their elasticity. Since the mounting brackets are slightly wider than the

 Eyelets on two cladding panels.

In the successive layers, the plates are offset from one another in a known manner, so that two plates each connected to a lath are covered and held in place by a plate of the layer above. The bracket fastening is only arranged on the upper edges of the cladding panels, while the lower edges are held in place by the overfold. To protect the slats 1. against pressure from the bracket 6, protective plates h are provided on the corners of the slats.
