 EMI1.1

 EMI1.2

Patentschrift Nr. 628/04).-Ferner

 EMI1.1

 EMI1.2
In such lamps, the lamp base is exposed to the risk of excessive heating, both from the radiant heat of the luminous element and from the hot gas flow rising from the luminous element. In order to prevent excessive heating of the lamp base and thereby cracking of the glass or leakage at the point of passage of the insertion wires or at the connection point between lamp base and outer glass wall, or to reduce this risk as much as possible, the lamp is provided according to the present invention Invention of a high chimney-like approach, which receives the lamp base.

This on the one hand reduces the influence of the radiant heat and on the other hand cools the rising gas flow before it reaches the endangered areas. The chimney-like approach can at the same time serve as a deposition or condensation space for the atomized or vaporized luminous element material carried along by the rising gas stream.

The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment, specifically for a spherical lamp. The glass ball is designated with k and the lamp base with f. with a the filament. which is suspended from the Stromzaführdrähton b and several supporting wires c and can for example consist of a continuous spiral made of tungsten wire. The power supply wires and support wires c can also expediently consist of tungsten or molybdenum. d designates the high chimney-like approach provided according to the invention, which accommodates the lamp base and the upper part of the power supply wires b and, if necessary, can be artificially cooled by known means (drafts, metal cooling fins, etc.).

It should be noted that vacuum carbon filament lamps with a long neck are already known, which serve to keep the contact points for the current introduction away from the attack of the liquid when the lamp is immersed in a liquid (British patent specification no. 9817 'or, for this purpose, the current feed wires made of copper to be able to provide an airtight cement-like agent over the greatest possible length (British patent specification No. 4495/1880) or to be able to accommodate a long sealing device (British patent no.

Patent No. 4393/1880) or an unfavorable one. the effect of the heat flowing downwards from the upper pear-shaped part that takes up the glubber thread on the sealing points of a gummy plug located in the neck and sealing the lamp bell. Patent specification No. 4171/1881) or to enable an exchange of the damaged Giübkörpers through the long neck opened by means of a jet flame (British patent No. 628/04)

provided with a solid coating. Thread made of carbon, osmium or
