Ans dem österreichischen Patente Nr. 50714 ist es bekannt, weiche Kreiden, Wiesenkalke oder andere weiche Kalkstoffe zu brennen, indem man diese Stoffe einem Drehrohrofen von derselben Seite wie die Feuergase zuführt, so dass sich also Brenngut und Feuergase in gleicher Richtung bewegen.
Versuche haben nun ergeben, dass man einen guten hydraulisch erhärtenden Mörtel erhält, wenn man Dolomit, der stets nur ein magneaiareieher Kalk, niemals aber ein Wasserkalk sein kann, beim Brennen in diesem bekannten Glcichstrom so bchandolt, dass
